ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2015

For the upcoming world cup i.e to held in 2015 at Australia & New Zeland.The International Cricket Council (ICC) have decided that there would be no  Super Over in tied matches in the knock-out phase. 

In case of a tied quarter-final and semi-final, the side finishing at the higher position in the group stage will seek to next round (i.e semi-final or final).If the final is tied or if the match is a no-result, then the teams will be declared joint winners.The total prize money of the 2015 World Cup would be $10 million, an increase of nearly 20 percent over the previous edition of the tournament four years ago, according to the ICC, which also decided to use the Decision Review System (DRS) in all 49 matches of the tournament.

The winners of the next year's mega event, starting February 14, will receive$3,750,000, up from $3,250,000 in 2011 while the runners-up will collect$1,750,000 in comparison to $1,500,000.The two losing semi-finalists will each get $600,000. In 2011, the two losing teams received $500,000.

The four side will qualify from each pool and will enter the quaterfinals i.e to be held from 18th of march to 21 st of march.Final will be played on 29th of march at Melbourne Cricket Ground , Australia.

Using Indian Company products is very necessary for developing economy. In our daily life we use more than 60% international products. And for every international products several indian substitutes are available (except for some product). Then why to go for "videshi item". Just be Indian & Go for Indian.

The major advantages of using Indian products are

• Indian company doesn't have to give import duty to government because it manufactures inside the country. Thus the prices of products are always cheaper than International products.
• More you use the Indian product, more the company will produce. And to increase the production, company needs more number of workers. Hence, it will increase the employment.

If you want India to be a Developed country then you have to start using Indian products. Some products and their Imdian substitutes which you use in daily life are listed below.

Sachin Tendulkar's autobiography releasing on November 6

 Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar's "Playing It My Way - My Autobiography" will be released November 6, the publishers announced on Tuesday.
"I knew that agreeing to write my story would need me to be completely honest, as that is the way I have always played the game. It would require talking about a number of aspects I have not shared in public before.
"So here I am, at the end of my final innings, having taken that last walk back to the pavilion, ready to recount as many incidents as I can remember since first picking up a cricket bat as a child in Mumbai 35 years ago," Tendulkar said about his book.
The autobiography is being published by Hodder & Stoughton and will be simultaneously released globally through Hachette India.
"Over the past 25 years, Sachin Tendulkar's colossal batting triumphs for India have singled him out as one of the greatest players in cricket history. He is universally admired and respected and, most impressively, remains a very modest man," said Hodder & Stoughton editor Roddy Blookfield.
The darling of millions of cricket lovers worldwide, Tendulkar retired from the game in 2013 after playing for 24 years. The most celebrated Indian cricketer and the highest run-scorer in the history of international cricket, Tendulkar was honoured with Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, on the last day of his cricket career.
His autobiography details his remarkable story, from playing in the by-lanes of sub-urban Mumbai to his first Test cap at 16, to his 100th international century capped by the emotional final farewell that brought India to a standstill.

"Playing It My Way: My Autobiography", will provide an insight into his personal life and promises a frank and revealing account of his sporting life, the publishers say.

286 Runs in one ball

Story of  286 runs
scored off one ball . Pall Mall Gazette – an
English newspaper with roots in London, all the
way back in 1865 – is the originator of this
quite unbelievable tale which has travelled
around the world ever since being first published
on 15th January 1894.
In its ‘Sporting Notes and News’ section, the
paper noted that a match was played at
Bonbury in Western Australia between Victoria
and a ‘scratch XI from the neighbourhood’.
Victorians went in to bat and the first ball was
hit into the branches of a tall jarrah tree which
was inside the ground.
Now, as the legend goes, the home team
appealed for a ‘lost ball’, but the umpires could
see the exact spot where the ball was
stuck and refused to declare the ball ‘lost’.
At this time now, the Victorians started running
between the wickets. Unable to find any
alternative, an axe was called for bringing down
the tree. But as luck would have it, they failed
to procure an axe and the batsmen kept on
running.
Next, someone brought out a rifle to dislodge
the ball from its position, and finally after many
shots missing the target, the ball was finally
shot down and brought to the ground.
Fantastically, nobody caught the ball before it
hit the ground.
The story goes on to state that the batsmen
had run 286 runs by then, creating the world
record for most runs off a single delivery in
cricket. It adds that the Victorians declared
then, bringing probably the shortest innings to a
close, if this legend is to be believed, and won
the match!

T20 WORLD CUP 2014

ICC World Twenty20 for the year 2014 is going to take place in February 2014. It will be hosted by Bangladesh and will be played in three cities - Dhaka, Sylhet, and Chittagong. 16 teams have qualified for this tournament. 8 teams have directly qualified for Super 10. Two top most teams out of the 8 qualified teams of group stage will join the Super 10.

Royal Challengers Bangalore pay Rs 14 crore for Yuvraj Singh

Dinesh Karthik a surprise pick by Delhi Daredevils, for Rs 12.5 crore

The opening day of the 2014 Indian Premier League players' auction in Bangalore, on Wednesday, saw a lot of action, with the teams going all out for the marquee players.

India's batting ace Yuvraj Singh commanded the highest price, Royal Challengers Bangalore paying a massive Rs 14 crore for him, while Dinesh Karthik was a surprise pick at Rs 12.5 crore by Delhi Daredevils.

Delhi also did well to retain the services of Kevin Pietersen, after using the 'Right to Match' card, for Rs 9 crore, while Australia's Ashes hero Mitchell Johnson was snapped up by Kings XI Punjab for Rs 6.5 crore.

The Kings also managed to snatch hard-hitting Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell for Rs 6 crore.
